Why I started EU Presence

We’re entering a new era, one defined not just by innovation, but by fragmentation. The internet, once a borderless highway for growth, is increasingly governed by complex, region-specific regulations. From data privacy to digital services, companies are no longer just building for users, they're also navigating a labyrinth of legal frameworks to reach them.

This is the world we now live in, one where geopolitical uncertainty, rising protectionism, and growing regulatory scrutiny are making it harder, not easier, for businesses to expand globally.

And that’s exactly why I started EU Presence.

The problem

Growing into a new market should be about opportunity. But today, for most companies outside of Europe, entering the EU feels like stepping into a regulatory minefield. Whether it's GDPR, the DSA, NIS 2, managing privacy requests, or employment compliance, every regulation comes with its own local obligations, risks, and nuances.

The cost? Slower go-to-market strategies, legal exposure, and missed opportunities in a market of over 450 million people.

The vision

EU Presence was born out of a simple, but powerful idea: Growing in the EU shouldn’t be complicated.

We help companies outside the EU break into Europe, compliantly, confidently, and affordably. From acting as your EU Representative for GDPR to providing EOR services and setting up your local entities, we remove the regulatory roadblocks so you can focus on building your product and serving your customers.

We’re starting with the European Union, not just because it's one of the largest economic blocs in the world but because it’s also the most regulated. If we can solve for Europe, we can solve for almost anywhere.

Why this matters

In a world that’s becoming more divided, closed, and protectionist, we believe solutions like EU Presence are needed more than ever.

They don’t just unlock new markets. They bridge global gaps.
They don’t just serve compliance. They enable growth.

We’re not here to just help you check boxes, we’re here to help you expand, sell, hire, and thrive across borders, without being buried in bureaucracy.

What’s next

This is just the beginning. Over the coming months, we’ll be rolling out powerful tools and services to simplify EU compliance and operations, starting with companies in the US.

If you’re building a product that deserves to be in front of European customers but feel held back by the regulatory burden, I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s build a more open and borderless EU for global business.
